How do I make certain the product works for me?
Always ensure that you are using a min of 0.5g a day or 1g every other day. 1g a day if you are having the next day off. It’s also important to massage the product completely into the skin for it to work its magic.
Will the product transfer onto my clothes?
As with any good moisturiser massage the product into the skin until completely absorbed. If you have a visible layer on the surface of the skin it means it hasn’t been absorbed and this is where the magic happens. Doing this eradicates any risk of the product transferring onto clothes.
Do I need to re-apply the product throughout the day?
Provided the product was applied correctly it will work for 24-48hrs, even after showering.
Can I use the Cacao Pow Deo Bar straight after shaving?
Some of our customers are able to however shaving can create micro abrasions which can be a source of discomfort with bicarb formulas. If you have sensitive skin we recommend applying the Cacao Pow Deo Bar on the day you don’t shave.
Can I run the bar under hot water to melt?
The Cacao Pow Deo Bar is an oil based formula. The preservatives used in water based formulas are completely different to those used in oil based formulas therefore it is important that you keep the Cacao Pow Deo Bar completely dry.
I tried a bicarb formula before and found it gritty - is the Cacao Pow Deo Bar the same?
We have worked hard to continually improve the texture of the Cacao Pow Deo Bar. One of our more recent improvements has been to make the texture even smoother for your application pleasure.
How do I apply?
Everybody’s body temperature and homes vary greatly in temperature. Before handling the bar always wash your hands in warm water and dry them throughly. This will raise the temperature of the hands enough for the product to flow. For best results we recommend making a paste/liquid in the palm of your hand using a circular motion - applying directly from the hand. A warmer temperature will result in a liquid, a cooler one, a paste.
Why is it a solid bar?
A challenge with some of the softer stick formulas - especially in the summer months is that too much of the product is dispensed at once leading to waste. With a solid formula you get a very controlled application.
Will the bar get stuck in the jar?
After applying always insert the bar into the jar with the end you used facing upwards. Always store the jar out of direct sunlight or heat. These two measures will ensure you can always get your bar out of the jar.
Why don’t you use beauty/eco influencers to promote your products?
We believe in transparency and authenticity. At the start of our journey two of our retail platforms used an influencer to promote the Cacao Pow Deo Bar along with other products. We felt that this wasn’t the right fit for us moving forward. We prefer to use real customer testimonials and organic press.
